Impact 8 & Print Festival Scotland

The Impact 8 International conference will be held in Dundee, Scotland from August 28th – September 1st 2013. The conference title/theme is ‘Borders & Crossings: the artist as explorer’ and will celebrate the practice, concept and application of print and printmaking in its widest possible constituency.

The event will focus upon an academic conference with a range of peer-reviewed papers for publication along with artists/illustrated talks and panel discussions. The programme will feature a number of presentations from invited keynote/guests and a series of technical demonstrations as well as specialist interest and peripheral events such as artist book, portfolio & trade sessions.

The conference will also run in conjunction with the first Print Festival Scotland featuring an extensive programme of exhibitions, performances and public print events and activities.

The Impact 8 committee invite you to submit proposals for academic papers, Illustrated talks & panel discussions and welcome alternative forms of delivery/presentation – outside of the conventional lecture style approach. We also welcome proposals and enquiries regarding exhibitions, demonstrations, poster presentations & open folio sessions. Please refer to the Impact 8 website for further details regarding submission of proposals and to download the accompanying forms.
