Of Dundee’s infamous ‘Three Js’ (jam, jute and journalism)
the third is still going strong in the form of D C Thomson & Co Ltd,
one of the Scotland’s largest and most successful print and media
companies. This exhibition focuses on the printing and publishing side
of the company’s history, exploring some of its famous newspapers,
magazines and comics and how their printing methods have changed
over the years.
The exhibition has been created as part of Print Festival Scotland to
accompany the Impact 8 conference at the University of Dundee.
It is a partnership between D C Thomson & Co Ltd, the University of
Dundee Museum Services and Duncan of Jordanstone College of
Art & Design.
