In 2012, as part of a major project to build a collection of art inspired by
Dundee’s pioneer of life sciences, D’Arcy Thompson, a folio of artists’ prints
was commissioned from leading artists on the staff of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, all of them drawing on themes from D’Arcy’s ideas
and collections. Created at the DJCAD printmaking workshop, this fascinating
body of work is being exhibited here for the first time, and editions of the folio
will be available for pre-order. The artists are Delia Baillie, Calum Colvin,
Dalziel + Scullion, Graham Fagen, Gareth Fisher, Paul Harrison, Mark Hunter,
Tracy Mackenna & Edwin Janssen, Jim Pattison, Norman Shaw, Elaine Shemilt,
Iain Sturrock, Edward Summerton and Peter Yearworth.
