The International Centre of Graphic Arts (MGLC) in Ljubljana Slovenia is the project leader of the project mentioned. In this project MGLC MGLC has decided to work with partners that have experience in the promotion, production, collection and storage of graphic art and the art of printing, artists’ residencies and the organization of international events in the field of the art of printing and art theory.

Partnering in this project are: MGLC, SI, Association Hablar en Arte, ES, Frans Masereel Centrum, BE, Tallinn Print Triennial Foundation, EES, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, CRO and SMTG Krakow, PL, therefore institutions, that are more or less associated with the production, promotion, research, collection and storage of fine art graphic prints and art publications. In our work we are all faced with similar issues as dictated by contemporary fine art production and the intermedia principle in art.
The project that started in May 2012 and will last till April 2014 is structured in seven activities.
The most visible segment of the project is the joint travelling exhibition of contemporary works by authors of predominantly younger and middle generation, which will begin its circulation only in the second half of the project, and will be accompanied by a joint catalogue with reproductions. The works for exhibition are to be selected by the curators, appointed by the partners. In this way we will obtain contents that will work synergistically or will be mutually exclusive, either way they will reflect European reality.
The project is structured so as to facilitate the meeting of artists, researchers and publicists, who deal with printmaking and art practices associated with the graphic arts. In the segment that is expressly targeted towards working with the public, this being workshops and events that accompany the exhibition as well as the residential programme, the project creates special conditions for the active participation of art schools, professors and students of art, paying particular attention to the group of active older people and elementary school youth.
56 artists, cultural workers, will be actively involved in the project, which will target pupils and students of academies and art colleges in six European cities. It is expected for the workshops and events to see the active participation of 200 visitors, the conference to be attended by 80 visitors, whereas the travelling exhibitions are expected to be viewed by 16,000 visitors. Besides that, we hope to be able to stimulate also other members of the public to making an acquaintance with and feeling the excitement of contemporary art.
The project wants to attract partners for broader future international development therefore we would like an opportunity to present project’s development and results to broader international professional audience.
