Flux
My current research and image development are linked in themes stemming from psychology and identity. I am specifically fascinated in Jung’s idea of the Shadow and its relation to mental turmoil and intimate conflict within the psyche. The Shadow is the alter ego, the disowned self, the repressed self, the “other”.  In this context I have developed a series of prints, the Flux series, in connection to internal conflict, mental illness and the “deformed” psyche. Utilizing printmaking and photography I hope to create a response within the viewer, perhaps making a connection within their own personal unconsciousness.
